June 2010: 262 reports added to the Grey Literature Library
We are pleased to announce that another 262 reports have been added to the Library of Unpublished Fieldwork Reports. This latest batch includes 50 new reports from Suffolk County Council Archaeology Service, 34 from CFA Archaeology Ltd and 10 from Highland Archaeology Services. Arrowhead Archaeology, Katharine Sawyer and Derek Hall have all been added to the growing list of contributors.

June 2010: Enhancement to OASIS form - re-opening records
In response to a request from a contractor, we have added an e-mail notification to the contractor's registered e-mail address when they submit a request to re-open a section of the OASIS form for one of their records. This should allow contractors to keep track more easily of the requests they have sent to the SMR/HERs.

May 2010: New FAQ on external hosting of files for grey literature library
We have added an additional FAQ to advise OASIS users who wish to host grey literature reports on their own web sites but still want them to be accessible through the library of unpublished fieldwork reports.

The ADS welcomes community archaeology projects and local societies to the OASIS online submission form. Please feel free to register as a user and work through the form. If you have any queries please contact either caf@britarch.ac.uk or, for technical issues, oasis@ads.ahds.ac.uk.

The OASIS project brings together a number of strategic partners: the Archaeology Data Service, the Archaeological Investigations Project (AIP) of Bournemouth University, the Archaeology Commissions Section of English Heritage, the National Monuments Record of English Heritage, Historic Scotland and the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland under the umbrella of the University of York.

An OASIS form is available for both England and Scotland. Contractors will need only one login to access both the English and the Scottish versions of OASIS but will be asked to choose which country they are working in after entering their username and password. HERs will automatically be directed to the right version of the form for the area they cover.
